You would be very unlucky if the display itself were broken, in that case a repair would be not possible, except for the exchange of the whole display, but as I wrote above in most cases it is caused by a bad connection somewhere inside the wrote:

If this is the case check if the connections of the zebra connector are solid enough. I do not know about the internal build of the 10bII, but in some HP calculators the display or its control circuit is connected to the mainboard by a "zebra" connector. In that case disassembling it seems to be necessary.
I assume that the unit is beyond its warranty period. I also took off the batteries but still it is the same. I even press the reset button at the back with the paper clip but it did not work. As per the User's Gide, I press Shift+N+FV simulteneously to reset it but the display of number is still distorted.
